Express Entry Surrey Canada

This is an online immigration program that offers faster entry to Canada for skilled and qualified immigrants. It was introduced on January 1, 2015 and is one of the main programs under economic immigration class. This program manages applications for permanent residence for immigrants who can fulfil job market needs and can contribute to economic and social development of Canadian society. This system also gives the opportunity to provinces to pick the right candidates from the express entry pool thus making this system more versatile.

Under the express entry system there are three economic immigration classes as:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Canadian Experienced Class
  • Federal Skilled Trade Program

Federal Skilled Worker Program

This program is available to anyone regardless of their current place of residence. Every year people from around the world use this program to immigrate to Canada as permanent residents. A candidate can apply with their dependents and without as well.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Language proficiency test report with minimum score of CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) 7. Results should not be older than 2 years.
  • Minimum of 12 months of full-time work experience in last 10 years in NOC 0, A, or B
  • Required at least 67 points out of 100 under selection grid to qualify.
  • At least a Canadian high-school diploma or equivalent foreign education. You must have ECA report for the highest level of education if the highest education was completed outside Canada.
  • Candidate should be willing live outside Quebec after getting permanent residence.
  • Candidate must show the ability to support him/her and dependents financially.

Application Process:

Candidates meeting the minimum requirement criteria needs to create their express entry profile and submit it to IRCC. Upon submission, candidate will get CRS score based on his profile. Express entry draws take place routinely on the discretion of immigration department. Candidates who meet the draw cut-off are invited to apply for permanent residence while others wait in the pool. Express entry profile gives all the candidates the flexibility to update their profile if their current information in the profile has changed. For example, marital status, English language proficiency test scores etc.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Program

The Canadian Experience Class program is best for candidates who have Canadian work experience and want to permanently settle in Canada. CES program supports the transition from a temporary status to permanent.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Language proficiency test report with minimum score of CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) 7 for NOC O and A and for NOC B CLB 5 is required. Results should not be older than 2 years.
  • Minimum of 12 months of full-time Canadian work experience in last 3 years in NOC O, A, or B
  • At least a Canadian high-school diploma or equivalent foreign education. You must have ECA report for the highest level of education if the highest education was completed outside Canada.
  • Candidate should be willing live outside Quebec after getting permanent residence.
  • Candidate must show the ability to support him/her and dependents financially.

Federal Skilled Trades Program

(FST) The Federal Skilled Trades program managed by the Express Entry system, this is the only federal economic immigration program that singles out workers in trades occupations. This program uses the Comprehensive Ranking System to rank interested applicants against one another, and qualified candidate can apply for Canadian permanent residence.

Qualified tradespersons from around the world who want to immigrate to Canada can apply for this immigration program; applications are generally processed in 6 months.

Federal Skilled Trades Program

FST program is most suitable for candidates who have gained skilled work experience in specific trades as outlined by this program.

Eligibility Criteria for Express Entry Surrey Canada:

  • CLB level 4 in reading and writing. CLB level 5 in speaking and listening.
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience in last 5 years before you apply.
  •  Have a valid job offer of full-time employment in skilled trade.
  • There is no minimum educational requirement but having one would increase the CRS score.
  • Skilled work experience should be in the following categories:

Major Group 72, industrial, electrical and construction trades

Major Group 73, maintenance, and equipment operation trades

Major Group 82, supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture, and related production

Major Group 92, processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators

Minor Group 632, chefs, and cooks

Minor Group 633, butchers, and bakers

  • Must plan to live outside the province of Quebec.
